LAS VEGAS, NV — National Technical Institute (NTI), a state approved trade school with campuses in Las Vegas and Phoenix specializing in HVAC/R, plumbing and electrical training and certificates, has created a first-of-its-kind nationwide Immersion Program for fast-track training. The Immersion Program allows students to conveniently complete online instruction in as little as 10 weeks, followed by one week of intensive in-person training, to those who want to start a new profession as an HVAC Technician, Plumber, or Electrician in the United States.

Combining Online, In-Person

After completing a series of specialized online tutorials, students attend a concentrated one-week training session at NTI’s campus in Phoenix or Las Vegas. The in-person training is included in the tuition and covers airline travel and hotel costs for the week. These sessions bring the online course to life by reproducing the video lessons through hands-on, in-person practical applications that reinforce the course syllabus conducted by NTI’s instructors who have decades of experience in their industries.

“Introducing more people to the trades to alleviate the widening skills trade gap is vital to our industry and the country. This immersion program breaks down barriers for those looking for a new career, allowing students to participate remotely from anywhere in the country at their own pace, with a customizable and convenient learning environment,” said Chris Roth, CEO and owner of NTI. “With online learning now second nature, this program furthers our hope to attract a new workforce to the trades that so desperately need an influx of talent,” Roth added.

Through NTI’s Immersion Program, the school’s HVAC, plumbing and electrical courses are all available online and can be completed in as little as 10 weeks with video instruction that introduces students to the fundamentals of each respective trade. Taught by experienced industry professionals, the video curriculum is broken down into modules with mandatory tests at the end of each lesson.

The on-campus portion of the program is taught in NTI’s high-tech, industry standard practice labs in Phoenix or Las Vegas, which are designed to prepare students for an entry-level career as a HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical Technician. Upon program completion, graduates will have learned the essentials of their chosen trade and be capable of maintaining new HVAC, plumbing and electrical equipment to ensure proper function, inspecting and testing systems and its components, discussing system malfunctions with customers, repairing and replacing defective parts, and more.

Additionally, all course study programs teach students how to market themselves and interact with clients, the “soft skills” that every successful service technician needs to run a business or be a valuable employee. Graduates of the Immersion Program can also take advantage of NTI’s career placement services that help students secure employment with contractors across the United States.

A Resource for Contractors

Contactors can also benefit from the Immersion Program. “With so few candidates to choose from, many contractors are struggling to fill open positions. This online program can be used to train existing and future employees who are eager to learn. It’s a win-win for all involved—contractors get properly trained staff and the employee becomes skilled in a well-paying trade,” added Roth.

“You don’t need to quit your current job to take these courses, you don’t need to carve out vital blocks of time to complete the lessons, and you don’t need to invest a large sum of money - we have made learning easier than ever. Now a prosperous career in the trades is closer than you think,” stated Roth.
