HOENIX, AZ — National Technical Institute (NTI) recognized 103 graduates who completed HVAC, plumbing and electrical training at its Phoenix campus, marking the school's largest graduating class since opening the location.

Family members, friends and instructors gathered July 10 at NTI's 10,000-square-foot Phoenix training facility to celebrate students completing the school's accelerated vocational programs.

The graduating class included 37 HVAC students, 26 plumbing students and 37 electrical students. Each completed 12 to 16 weeks of training, including extensive hands-on instruction in NTI's 6,000-square-foot laboratory designed to simulate real-world service and installation work. More than 20 graduates secured employment before graduation.

Hands-On Training Prepares Students for Immediate Employment

"Six months ago, many of these students were considering their next step in life, and today they're walking out of here as certified HVAC, plumbing, and electrical technicians ready to start their careers and serve the industry," said Jeff Kozloski, Campus Director, National Technical Institute Phoenix. "Improving lives by helping people begin a rewarding trade career is what drives our team every single day, and employers are eager to put these graduates to work."

Students receive classroom instruction alongside practical field training from experienced trades professionals. Programs emphasize equipment maintenance, repairs, replacements, safety procedures and proper tool usage in environments designed to mirror actual jobsite conditions.

NTI also assigns every student a Career Services Advisor to connect graduates with local employers, helping create a direct pipeline into the workforce.

Technician Demand Continues Across Mechanical Trades

The graduates enter a market where demand for skilled trades professionals continues to exceed available workers. According to the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association's 2026 industry outlook, employment of plumbers is projected to grow 4% between 2024 and 2035, creating approximately 44,000 annual job openings, while HVAC mechanics and installers are expected to see 8% growth with more than 40,000 openings annually.

NTI said its campuses in Phoenix, Houston and Las Vegas are helping address those workforce shortages by preparing technicians who can contribute immediately after graduation.
