If you park your commercial truck on city streets, you may be in danger of getting an expensive ticket. Luckily, there may be ways to protect yourself.
Hughes first asked for a permit from the alderman’s office in the ward where he was ticketed, but they sent him to his home alderman, where he was advised he didn’t qualify for a permit because of the ladder rack on the truck’s roof.... The solution to Hughes’ problem is actually quite simple and plainly stated in the city ordinance on truck parking restrictions, which is Municipal Code 9-64-170 for those of you playing lawyer at home.
