CHICAGO, ILL —The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE)—this year in conjunction with the Plumbing Contractors of America (PCA)—is holding its biennial Technical Symposium at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dearborn, Michigan, on October 22–25, 2009. The Technical Symposium is ASPE’s premier educational event, offering plumbing engineers, designers, and contractors the opportunity to earn 15 educational contact hours to use toward recertification and license renewal.

This year, a special Plumbing Engineering and Contracting Product Show will be held Thursday night, October 22. Attendees can mingle with manufacturers and learn about their latest products and services while munching on a complimentary tailgate-style dinner. Educational sessions in the areas of building information modeling, green plumbing, emerging technology, plumbing 101, and practical engineering and contracting will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In addition to the phenomenal education, attendees receive complimentary breakfasts, lunches, and snacks; a wine and cheese party; and the chance to win one of a dozen laptop or netbook computers.

The ASPE/PCA Technical Symposium is a fantastic value for plumbing engineers, designers, and contractors. Room rates at the Hyatt Regency are only $109, and a travel stipend is being offered for those driving to the event.
