Prestigious competition seeks to honor the skill, precision, and dedication of plumbers nationwide.

The 2024 Plumbing National Championship, sponsored by SharkBite Plumbing Solutions, has officially kicked off, and Round 1 of the qualifying stages is now open to plumbers across America.

This prestigious competition seeks to honor the skill, precision, and dedication of plumbers nationwide, providing a platform for professionals to showcase their expertise and vie for the coveted title of National Champion. With a series of challenging and engaging events lined up, this year's championship promises to be more thrilling and competitive than ever before.

IDEAL National Championships

Since 2016, the IDEAL National Championship has been a platform that celebrates and showcases the incredible skills of tradeswomen and men across North America via a one-of-a-kind program and competition that ultimately crowns the best of the best student and professional electricians, plumbers and HVAC technicians each year.

IDEAL Industries and Intersport have expanded the Elite Trades Championship Series platform. The platform is the Olympics of the Trades with national championship programs for a variety of trade professions including the addition of the US Auto Technician National Championship (USATNC) in 2021, the ServiceTitan HVAC National Championship (SHNC) in 2022, and the SharkBite Plumbing National Championship (PNC) last year.

The Plumbing National Championship was created to allow the best professionals across the country to compete and showcase their highly trained skills and win cash rewards and industry-leading product prizes while elevating the awareness and importance of trade jobs across the globe—not to mention the true bragging rights to be crowned the best plumber in the country amongst their peers and in the industry.

The Plumbing National

The Plumbing National will include twelve weeks of online digital competitions and at-home qualifying challenges culminating in the top (5) professional plumbers being flown all expenses paid to West Palm Beach, FL in September to compete in a one-of-a-kind built competition arena at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.

Contestants will digitally qualify by engaging in a timed online assessment that evaluates their proficiency in a range of essential plumbing skills. These encompass the ability to conduct initial diagnostic assessments and proficiently handle diverse real-world plumbing situations. Evaluation during the competition will focus on precision, efficiency, and the overall excellence of work. Esteemed judges, representing both union and independent perspectives will assess each competitor’s work.

The Plumbing National Championship will be featured across the CBS Sports Network with a one-hour prime-time show celebrating the plumbing trade with personal stories of competitors and the national championship competition.

PNC Round 1 Digital Qualifier (March – June)

Round 1 online competition will take place via the PNC website www.plumbingnationals.com over a 10-week period crowning winners that will advance to the next round of the Plumbing National Championship.

Each contestant will receive a kit delivered to their homes, containing materials for constructing a pressure-tested copper pipe fixture. This task demands a diverse set of plumbing skills for successful completion. The top 5 contestants will progress to the finals and earn an all-expenses-paid trip to West Palm Beach, FL.
