FIFE and MUKILTEO, WA — UMC is pleased to announce promotions of several of its employees in recent months.
Major Projects
In the Major Projects group, promotions include Tim Owen to Senior Project Manager and Ryan Underwood to Project Manager. With over seven years of experience with UMC, Owen has exhibited excellent business acumen, leading successful project teams to profitable conclusions while simultaneously enhancing the client experience. Owen’s current project focus is on the healthcare and high-tech market segments including Overlake Medical Center and confidential high-tech clients. Underwood came to UMC by way of WSU in 2019 and was placed on the Onni 1120 Denny Way project during the height of construction and made an immediate positive impact on the team.
Industrial
In the Industrial group, Aden Rich was promoted to Industrial Group Manager and Hunter Harbison was promoted to Project Manager. Rich began his career at UMC in 2018 and has been a key partner in the growth, leadership, and motivation is the industrial market segment throughout the Pacific Northwest. His most notable projects include projects for Nucor Steel, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island as well as numerous projects in the high-tech and aerospace markets. Harbison has been with UMC since 2020 and during that time he has worked with various aerospace and high-tech clients. His work with QA/QC documentation and tool closeout packages has been instrumental in successful project outcomes.
Special Projects
In the Special Projects group, promotions include Andrew Priest to Project Manager, Brittney Higgins to Project Engineer, and David Estrada-Echegaray to Senior Design Engineer. Priest joined the company in 2021 and has excelled working on a multitude of fast paced, challenging projects with our high-tech clients. Higgins joined UMC in 2008 and has held roles supporting nearly every department at the company. Her project portfolio spans every market segment, and she is currently supporting UMC projects on the Overlake Medical Center Bellevue campus. Estrada-Echegaray joined UMC just over a year ago bringing with him five years of design experience and drafting skills. He quickly became a key part of our engineering operations and is now the running point on many of his own design projects for the life sciences market including Fred Hutch, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), and Alexandria Real Estate (ARE) to name a few.
Manufacturing
In the Manufacturing group, promotions include Dylan Prichard to Manufacturing Project Manager and Cayce Beck to Operations Coordinator. Prichard joined the company in 2019 and rose through the ranks through his dedication to growth, innovation, and teamwork. His project portfolio spans nearly every market in the greater Seattle area including high-tech confidential clients, Overlake Medical Center, King County Correctional Facility, and Sustainable Living Innovations. Beck has four years at UMC and has committed her time to process improvement and administrative support.
Engineering
In the Engineering group, Keegan Hollister was promoted to Lead Engineer. Hollister has worked in the UMC engineering department for over 10 years and has been involved in many of the recent landmark UMC design-build projects. He has always been committed and dedicated to the greater good of the engineering group (and the company) and always shows up with a “can do” attitude.
Around the Company
Peter Gaynor was promoted to Business Systems Analyst in the Information Technology group. He joined UMC in 2019 and has worked on complex software integrations, CRM (Client Relationship Management) implementation, and provided daily support to every staff member.
Annalyn Lass was promoted to Purchasing Agent. Joining the company in 2019, she has been a data driven professional for the Purchasing team excelling in providing excellent service.
