KOHLER, WI — Kohler Co. is celebrating the 20-year anniversary of its Kohler Stores program, highlighting two decades of retail expansion, hands-on product experiences, and local community engagement. What began with a single Merchandise Mart location in Chicago has grown to 53 stores across the United States, with more openings in progress.
Hands-On Spaces for Product Discovery
Kohler Stores are designed to give homeowners and design professionals a practical, interactive place to evaluate built-to-last products from the company’s full portfolio. Fixtures, smart-home features, wellness products, and specialty collections—including Kohler x Studio McGee—are displayed to support a wide range of project needs.
On-site design associates help customers compare products, select finishes, and understand functional differences between lines. The goal is to streamline decisions and bring design concepts together in one place.
Supporting Customers Through the Full Design Journey
“We’re here to assist every step of the process, helping customers feel confident, inspired, and empowered to create spaces that reflect their unique vision and elevate their design,” said Kari Hazelton, Director of Strategy & Store Expansion. “Our goal is to make Kohler Stores feel like an extension of the community—an engaging and accessible destination for customers to spend time exploring functionality and experiencing the colors, materials and finishes of the products, as well as connecting with our design experts to help provide the right guidance.”

In the past year, Kohler opened 10 new stores in Summit, NJ; Plano, TX; Westwood, MA; Solana Beach, CA; San Ramon, CA; San Jose, CA; Charleston, SC; Burlingame, CA; Palo Alto, CA; and Pasadena, CA. These locations expand customer access to product displays, finish options, and design support.
Upcoming Locations Strengthen National Footprint
Kohler is preparing to open additional stores in Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, and Salt Lake City as part of its ongoing commitment to meet customers where they live, work, and build.
