Mestek steps up boiler training

Mestek has announced that the company will be expanding their course offering for 2011. In addition to the popular Boiler Efficiency Application Seminar, class offerings will also include a Hands-on Technical Service Seminar.

As in previous years, the Boiler Efficiency Application Seminar is geared toward engineers, as well as individuals on the architectural and design/build side of the business. Attendees will master the relationship between boiler efficiency and system performance. This class will provide the tools required to design and operate a boiler system for higher efficiency and lower operational costs. Topics covered in this class include system design, venting, controls, combustion and start-up procedures. This three day seminar is held in one of two Mestek Institute sites located in Boyertown, PA and Mississauga, Canada.

New for 2011 is the Technical Service Training located in Westfield, MA. This factory authorized hands-on training seminar is held in conjunction with Hydrotherm Boilers, RBI Water Heaters and Smith Cast Iron Boilers to provide attendees with everything they need to properly start-up, service and maintain peak efficiency of a boiler system. Held in a working boiler lab, this two day seminar will teach service contractors and facility maintenance personnel how to indentify and correct common problems associated with modern boiler systems including venting and combustion, as well as electrical and control issues.

Mestek Institute seminars are free to qualified attendees. Transportation costs are not covered.
