Sleek designs prevail at KBIS 2015

It’s already Day 2 of Design & Construction Week, which combines the International Builders Show, the Kitchen and Bath Industry show, the International Window Coverings Expo, the Las Vegas Market and the International Surface Event.

Yesterday Bob Mader and I visited many industry manufacturers throughout the day to see the newest kitchen and bathroom products on the market. So far, I have noticed some of the faucet designs are inspired by autos and airplanes of the past. I’m thinking as far back as the 1950s.

For example, Brizo’s Sotria Collection is influenced by car tail fins and airplanes. This faucet is available with a closed or channel spout, and there is also a freestanding tub filler and multi-function showerhead available for the bathroom too.

Another faucet that caught my eye as I was visiting booths yesterday was Delta’s Compel bathroom faucet.

Carol Ann Kemper, product manager at Delta, said this faucet design is reminiscent of car hood ornament. You can definitely see that this is a minimal and clean design, perfect for an urban space.
