COLUMBUS, OH — Engelbert Strauss Inc., known globally as STRAUSS, will establish its US headquarters, showroom, and learning and development center in Columbus’ Arena District, marking a significant expansion of the European workwear and utility gear brand into the North American market.
The new facility is expected to create 30 jobs and reinforces the Columbus Region’s growing reputation as a hub for international business investment and innovation.
Founded more than 75 years ago, STRAUSS has evolved from a family-run shop in Germany into a globally recognized workwear brand serving agriculture, construction, logistics, trades and technical industries. The company is known for high-performance apparel, design-driven solutions and durable craftsmanship built for demanding jobsite environments.
Strategic US Location to Support Trades Growth

The Columbus headquarters will anchor STRAUSS’ North American operations and place the brand closer to contractors, trades professionals and industrial customers across the US.
Showroom and Training Center Planned for Arena District
The facility will include a branded showroom designed to showcase STRAUSS’ workwear systems, materials and design philosophy for North American customers. The space is expected to bring new foot traffic and a distinctive international retail presence to the Arena District’s mixed-use business environment.

Ginther. “The Arena District has been an economic driver within our downtown for more than 25 years, and STRAUSS’ decision to grow there will create new jobs and further benefit the energy and vibrancy of the area.”
Part of a Broader International Investment Trend
Foreign direct investment continues to play a major role in the Columbus Region’s economic development, with nearly one-third of One Columbus’ active project pipeline represented by international companies across manufacturing, logistics and design sectors.

The new STRAUSS facility will be located at 285 Cozzins Street in Columbus, with operations expected to be built out during the first quarter of 2026.
