GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Andy J. Egan Co. has named Chris Weaver as President, marking a leadership transition that continues the company’s focus on technology-driven project delivery and long-term stability.

Weaver, who joined the company in 2000, assumes the role with unanimous support from the executive team. He most recently served as Director of Technology, a position he has held since 2015. Outgoing President Andy Jasper will remain active in the business, supporting Weaver while focusing on business development.

“Chris Weaver is the ideal candidate to take over the reins at Egan,” said Jasper. “He brings deep knowledge of the company’s past in a way that ensures long-term stability for our employees and customers. At the same time, he has his pulse on the future of the construction industry, as we continue to lean into technology solutions that lead to better project outcomes.”

Succession Plan Balances Continuity and Future Focus

Egan has been under the leadership of the Jasper family since 1932, when Harold Jasper acquired the company. As succession planning progressed across multiple generations, Weaver emerged as a clear choice to lead the organization forward.

“The Jasper family is confident in the future of Egan with Chris at the helm, and that sentiment is fully supported by the rest of Egan’s directors,” said Jasper. “Our customers and employees can expect the same steady leadership, trusted relationships and commitment to quality that Egan has delivered for generations.”

Technology Leadership Shapes Company Direction

Weaver began his career at Egan in the Design-Build department as an engineer after earning an HVACR Engineering Technology degree from Ferris State University. Early in his tenure, he worked closely with field teams to implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) across the company—at a time when adoption across the industry was still limited.

Since then, he has played a key role in advancing Egan’s use of construction technology, helping position the company at the forefront of national trends while collaborating with leading software providers.

Industry Involvement and Workforce Leadership

A frequent speaker at industry events, Weaver remains active in workforce development and industry advancement. He serves on the Ferris State University HVACR Advisory Board and participates in the Lean Construction Institute of Michigan Community of Practice.

His industry leadership includes roles as Chair of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) Technology Committee and Past President of the American Subcontractors Association of Michigan.

Leading a Growing Workforce Across West Michigan

As president, Weaver will oversee more than 600 employees across four offices throughout West Michigan, continuing to build on Egan’s culture and operational performance.

The leadership transition reinforces the company’s commitment to combining long-standing relationships and craftsmanship with evolving technology and project delivery methods.
