VIA E-MAIL -- Hope all is well and you are getting settled in with your new position. Nice editorial in the November CONTRACTOR. Easy for us to think green, but it is another issue to make it happen. Gray water reclamation, water conservation, and so on goes a long way toward getting us where we need to be with water, which is our most valuable resource in my estimation. Although I am a heating guy, without water we would be in a lot more trouble than we are with oil. Well, that's another discussion for another time.
From time to time, people request copies of Joe [Fiedrich]'s old [hydronic heating] articles he wrote for you. Is there any resource you folks have for these?

Editor's note: Unfortunately, no. Joe Fiedrich, founder of Stadler Corp., Bedford, Mass., which is now Viega North America, was CONTRACTOR's hydronic heating columnist up until 1999 when Mark Eatherton took over. That was before we began archiving columns on our Web site, although some of Fiedrich's columns are floating around on the Internet. Fiedrich, who retired after Viega bought the company, is the inventor of the Viega Climate Panel and Uponor Quik Trak hydronic radiant floor retrofit product.
