Plastics Pipe Institute Issues Statement of Support for CIRCLE Act
IRVING, TX — The Plastics Pipe Institute, Inc. (PPI) has issued a statement in support of the bipartisan Cultivating Investment in Recycling and Circular Local Economies (CIRCLE) Act, introduced by Representatives Tom Suozzi (D-NY) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA).
By creating a 30 percent investment tax credit for recycling infrastructure, the CIRCLE Act provides a meaningful step toward to modernize America’s recycling systems, cutting costs for local governments, and supporting domestic manufacturing. These investments will help return valuable materials—including plastics—back into the supply chain, reduce pressure on landfills, and strengthen our circular economy.
Sustainable & Reliable
“The Plastics Pipe Institute supports the CIRCLE Act because it strengthens recycling standards, boosts demand for recycled materials, and encourages innovation across our industry,” said David M. Fink, President of PPI. “This bill helps ensure plastic piping remains a sustainable, reliable solution for modern infrastructure.”
Founded in 1950, PPI is the major North American trade association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of plastic piping systems found in water, wastewater, energy and telecommunications projects.
“Our members are committed to sustainability and innovation,” Fink continued, “and many are already leading the way in recycling, material recovery, and product design to support circularity.”
