NCCER Releases Revised Welding Curriculum

The updated content includes the latest in safety information, including Standard Welding Procedure Specification examples from the American Welding Society (AWS).

ALACHUA, FL — The sixth edition of the National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) Welding Level One curriculum is now available for purchase. As NCCER’s third most popular craft training program, this update arrives in time for the start of the upcoming academic year. 

The updated content includes the latest in safety information, including Standard Welding Procedure Specification examples from the American Welding Society (AWS). The content also reflects technological changes to the craft, modern approaches and best practices.In addition, the Trainee Guide has a modernized page design that presents information concisely with improved readability to help alllearners. 

With this latest revision, NCCER has also updated the online learning options available through the NCCERconnect platform. Instructors and students can use NCCERconnect for Welding Level One to engage with user-friendly digital tools, including resources from the NCCERconnect platform, such as online quizzes, videos, self-guided interactive learning and more.
