INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Indianapolis-based Schmidt Associates, a regional architecture, engineering, and interior design firm, has hired Jake Baughman, PE, CSWP as a plumbing designer.
A graduate of the Purdue University College of Technology, Baughman holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering technology. Before joining Schmidt Associates, Baughman served as a mechanical design engineer for Shelbyville, Indiana-based Capital Industries where he led a team of engineers to develop, design, and integrate all mechanical systems for turnkey machinery, using client specifications and SOW to develop comprehensive schedules that accurately reflected the project lifecycle from concept to shipment.
"It's exciting to join Schmidt Associates and to be part of the architecture, engineering, and construction industry," Baughman said. "I love the diversity of work Schmidt Associates has, and I believe my previous experiences working in assembly and material handling will transition well into helping Owners find creative and unique solutions."
In addition to his career experiences, Baughman is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Indiana. He also is a Certified Solidworks Professional (CSWP) and holds a 30-hour OSHA card.
