Littleton, Mass. — Eggrock LLC, a manufacturer of pre-built bathrooms for the hotel construction industry, announced that it was awarded a contract for 118 pre-built bathrooms for a new Marriott SpringHill Suites in Romulus, Mich. The bathrooms were purchased by Group 10 Management of Livonia, Mich.
“Marriott's rebranding of their SpringHill Suites hotel is an important project which we are thrilled to be a part of,” said Jeff Barrett, president and CEO of Eggrock. “The new bathroom is a significant improvement in functionality, quality, and workmanship that will set a new standard for the market. Eggrock is excited to help Marriott ensure the quality of this new brand standard is met for new construction projects.”
“We selected Eggrock because they will allow us to build a higher quality hotel in less time than conventional construction,” said Kenny Koza, vice president of Group 10 Management. “Bathrooms are an important area for guest satisfaction yet the skilled trades required to build them are usually rushed at the end of the project. This results in poor workmanship and costly punch-lists that can be avoided by using bathrooms built ahead of time in a controlled factory and installed as a completed unit.”
Building each hotel bathroom at the construction site requires at least eight different specialty trades to complete, all within a confined space.
Eggrock builds bathrooms in a controlled manufacturing facility and delivering them to the construction site complete with finished floor and wall tiles, paint, wallpaper, fixtures, lighting, and electrical outlets all in place.
