Arlington, Va.— Following five years of development, the Air-to-Air Energy Recovery Ventilation Equipment Certification Program has been initiated by the Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Institute.

The new ERV certification program references ARI Standard 1060-2000 “Air-to-Air Energy Recovery Ventilation Equipment” and covers factory-made air-to-air heat exchangers for use in energy recovery ventilation equipment. The program does not apply to heat exchangers joined by a circulated heat transfer medium or run-around loop.

Both the erv directory and ARI Standard 1060-2000 are available for free download on ARI’s Web site at www.ari.org.

For more information about the new certification program, contact Denise Beach, ARI certification engineer, at [email protected] or visit ARI’s Web site.
